Joe Wiley Brown age 86, of Martha, Oklahoma died March 7, 1971 at Park Lane Manor Nursing Home in Altus, Oklahoma.
Joe was born October 4, 1884, in McKinney, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Marion Brown. He married Willie Florence Robertson in 1902. She preceded him in death October 3, 1956. Joe had been a resident of Jackson County for 80 years.
Funeral services for Joe Wiley Brown are scheduled for Tuesday, March 9, 1971 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church, Martha, Oklahoma, officiated by Rev. Jack Smith. Burial will follow in the Martha Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Joe is survived by two sons, Vergel Brown, Orla, Texas; Marion W. Brown, Martha, Oklahoma; three daughters, Mrs. Albert Evans, Martha, Oklahoma; Mrs. Grady Duffer, Littlefield, Texas, Mrs. Norman Sampler, Blair, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, A. Marion Brown, Lynn, Texas; Sam Brown, Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters, Bertie Scruggs, Carrizo Springs, Texas; Ethel Burkett, Altus, Oklahoma; Audrey Tanner, Iowa Park, Texas.
