Obituary for John Walter Gilchrist
Mr. John Walter Gilchrist, age 70, former resident of Blair and retired Baptist Minister, died at Arlington Memorial Hospital on Friday.

Memorial services have been set for 2:30 P.M., Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Blair. Burial will be in Blair Cemetery under direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

He was a retired minister and for the last eight years was employed with the Arlington, Texas Public Schools as a Maintenance Superintendent. Prior to this time he had lived in Blair.

Survivors include: his wife, Velma of the home; one son, Stanford Gilchrist of Ft. Worth, TX; one daughter, Mrs. Johnny Williams of Salt Lake City, UT; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Wilmore of Mangum and Mrs. Lorene McKinley of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren.
