Obituary for Johnnie C. Morris
Johnnie C. Morris, age 79 and longtime resident, passed away Wednesday July 4, 2001 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born to John and Addie Copeland on September 24, 1921 in Altus, Oklahoma. Johnnie married Howard Morris on October 22, 1939 in Altus, Oklahoma. They enjoyed many years together. Johnnie worked as a homemaker and was an active parent and grandparent. She was always interested in what her family was doing. Johnnie also enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Dafodill Club. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus for 20 years and also had taught Sunday school at the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Johnnie is survived by two daughters; Cindy and husband John Santiago of Altus and Nelda Beth and husband Joe MGee of Borger, Texas; one brother, Gene Copeland of Dayton, Texas; three sisters, Jamie Ragsdale of Fort Worth, Texas, Ella Dean Pace of Dayton, Texas, Dell Nelson of Lebanon, Oregon; grandchildren, Natalie and Stacy Bruce of Borger, Texas Jennifer Santiago of Norman, Oklahoma, Robert and Wendee McGe of Aledo, Texas and two greatgranddaughters, Kaylee and Kelsee McGee also of Aledo, Texas.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 am Monday at the Lowell-0Tims Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Altus City cemetery. sonny Tims will officiate.
