Obituary for Johnnie Fae Argo
Johnnie Fae Jones Argo went to her heavenly home on March 26, 2024, at the age of 101. Graveside services will be Monday, April 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery.
Johnnie was born March 1, 1923, to Chester and Ethel (Owens) Graves near Hollis, Oklahoma. She attended Arnett School where she met Buster Jones and later married him in May, 1940. They had two children, Ronnie and Pam. She later married Ivan Argo.
Johnnie worked in the Hollis School System and Renate's Dress Shop. She was a receptionist and bookkeeper for Ben Bell, DDS. Her last employment was with Patterson Funeral Home where she worked for many years as assistant and bookkeeper.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Buster Jones and Ivan Argo, parents Chester and Ethel Graves, her son Ronnie Jones, a sister Bonnie Scott, and a brother Bobby Graves.
She is survived by a daughter, Pam Clifford, a special sister-in-law, Billie Graves, a stepson Larry Argo and his wife Linda and their children, numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to Lynda Burns, a niece, who was wonderful to take care of her in her later years. Thanks also to Colonial Manor Il Nursing Home for their love and care of Johnnie for many years.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
