Obituary for Jonathan Conway Robertson
J.C. Robertson, age 77, long time resident of Altus, died Tuesday, August 15th, 1989, evening at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services have been set for Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. from the Lowell Memorial Chapel, officiated by Bill Osborne. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born November 3rd, 1911 at Oak Cliff, Texas. He was the son of John and Lillie Robertson. He married Ada Yutzy May 17, 1956 at Tucumcari, NM. He owned the Robertson Radio and Television Repair Service. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Altus Athletic Hall of Fame.
Survivors include: his wife, Ada Robertrson, of the home; two sons, Bert Robertson of Lawton and Steve Robertson of Fayetteville, NC; one daughter, Wanda Robertson of the home; two brothers, Dudley Robertson of Altus and Elton Robertson of Raymondville, TX; two sisters, Millie Hess of Angleton, TX and Margie Felder of Pinehurst, TX; one aunt, Patricia Platte of Whittier, CA; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
