Josie left boarding school and moved back to Greer County and worked at the Post Office at Brinkman, Oklahoma. There she met Fred Parker and they were married November 16, 1916. Following their marriage they moved to Arlington, Texas where they lived until the fall of 1919. While in Arlington, Texas, Bernard and Ruth were born. They moved back to Greer County in 1919 settling in the Old Bloomington Community. They resided in that area until 1941 when they bought a farm in Reed, Oklahoma. They sold the farm and moved to Mangum, Oklahoma in 1947. Additional children were born to this union, Bill, Fred Jr., Dewey, Ted, Tex, Jerry and Kenny. Her husband, Fred Parker, died April 5, 1953 on Easter Sunday. Josie then went to work in Mangum at the M. E. Moses Company.
