Born on May 28, 1962, in Altus, Oklahoma, Raylene was the cherished daughter of Norris Russel and Lavata Arlene (Tucknies) Bryson. Raised and educated in Hollis, Oklahoma, Raylene graduated from Hollis High School in 1980 and went on to become a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant. Her life's work was a testament to her compassion and commitment to others, serving as a family caretaker at Colonial I in Hollis for many years. Raylene extended her nurturing spirit to her parents and brother David. As well as her nieces and nephews, whom she adored and cared for as her own. Her legacy of love continues through her great-nieces and great-nephews, who were the joy of her life.
A devoted member of the Methodist Church in Hollis, Raylene was known for her generous heart and enduring friendships. She had a special affection for her chihuahuas, who were her constant companions, and she delighted in their company, as well as in the company of her family. Raylene's passions included attending concerts, playing games on her phone, shopping with her sister Tonya, and celebrating holidays with her loved ones in Altus.
Raylene is preceded in death by her parents, Norris Russel Bryson and Lavata Arlene (Tucknies) Bryson, and her beloved niece, Angela Biddy.
She is survived by her brothers Roger Bryson and his wife Cindy, Larry Bryson and his wife Vickie, and David Bryson, her sisters Donna Poston and her husband Bob, and Tonya Simmons and her husband Ken. Her memory will be cherished by her nieces and nephews Kenny and Nancy Simmons, Kevin and Delores Simmons, Raul and Jennifer Ledesma, Melissa Bryson, Timothy Bryson, Jared and Brionica Bryson, and Sadie and Randy Groff. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by many friends and her church family in Hollis.
Raylene's kindness, warmth, and loving spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Graveside Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Independence Cemetery, Vinson, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Methodist Church Youth of Hollis, Oklahoma.
Cremation and Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
