Juanita Rocha
Juanita M. Rocha, age 92, was born October 20, 1920, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Mack P. and Augustina (Brown) Morales. She was raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, but as a young child her family moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she attended school. On March 7, 1935, Juanita married Ramon D. Rocha, and they spent the next 57 wonderful years together before his death on April 15, 1993. They established their home in Oklahoma City. After living in different locations and after many occupations, the couple moved their family to Altus, Oklahoma in 1959, where they chopped cotton and farmed for a living. In 1965, the couple moved to Martha, Oklahoma where they retired.
Mrs. Rocha, enjoyed quilting, embroidering and especially raising her grandchildren. She was loved by her family and loved the time she got to spend with them. Juanita was a cherished mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who adored all her family and friends.
She is survived by her eight children, Patricia Lay and husband Bill of Martha, Oklahoma, Delores Stickney and husband Leslie A. of Blair, Oklahoma, Raymond Rocha, Jr. and wife Lucy of Bovina, Texas, Linda Ruiz of Altus, Oklahoma, Jenny McClendon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John Rocha and wife Nancy of Fruitland, Missouri, Yolanda Cooper and husband Joe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Manuel Rocha of Martha, Oklahoma along with many other relatives and friends.
Juanita Rocha was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon D. Rocha; her parents, Mack and Augustina Morales; three sons, Pete Rocha, Vernon Rocha, and Robert Lee Rocha; one sister, Nellie Chabolla; two grandsons, Raymond Rocha III and Larry Rocha; one great-granddaughter, Sammie Jo Maldonado and two sons-in-laws, Neil Roe and Darrell McClendon.
Funeral Services for Juanita Rocha will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Lowell-Tims Chapel with Pastor Kevin Baker officiating. Interment will follow at the Martha Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
