Obituary for Judith Lynn Kabrick
My beautiful mom, Judith Lynn Kabrick (aka Judi K.), passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder, Ok.
She was born the only child of Sherwood and Tora Kimball in Oak Park Illinois on August 21, 1943. She grew up in Maywood, Illinois and graduated from Proviso High School in 1961. She married Alan R Sikora 19 Sept 1964 and from that union they had a daughter Lynn Sikora.
She married Clifton Henry Krautschneider 10 Nov 1979 in Apache Junction, AZ. Her final marriage was to Clifford Leroy Kabrick on 27 Oct 1990 in King county, WA.
Judi earned BA in Business from the University of Phx. While my mom and dad were stationed in Hawaii, my put her business acumen to work building her own business of running cars to and from the airport. Back on the mainland my mom was instrumental in the formation of Labor Ready which was started in Kent, WA. Glenn Welstad sent her to learn the business from the bottom up at Labor Force for Labor Ready to be started. She eventually went on to work in the Labor Ready legal department and practiced many aspects of law under the corporate umbrella. Glenn Welstad brought my mom to Command Staffing after he put that together and she worked for him and the Legal department again.
Not long after retiring my mom got cancer and beat it only to suffer dementia after. Dementia was such a cruel disease to happen to her brilliant mind. At the end, however, it was covid-19 that took her away from us.
My mom was a lifelong member of the NRA and was a marksman having been allowed to qualify at Hickam AFB. She also loved Hawaii and was Hawaiian at heart.
She leaves behind a daughter Lynn Sikora (Daniel Van Gorden), two grandkids - Jenna (John) Loudakis and Christopher Alvear (Leah Jones), great grandchildren Hayden, Hailey, Michael, Aria Alvear, Cameron Basto, and Nolan Hollingsworth, and Luci the German Shepperd. Her prized sheepdog Linus preceded her in death. She also leaves behind her Aunt Jo Ivarson, cousins Bill (Debra) Ivarson, Corey (Bonnie) Ivarson, Tom (Michelle) Ivarson, Bob (Joann)Ivarson and a multitude of friends.
Until we see you again mom - this is not where it ends....
