Obituary for Juliana Marquez
Juliana Marquez, age 74, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2004 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Marquez was born January 28, 1930 at Benavides, Texas to Augustine Garza and Justa (Mireles) Garza.
On January 1, 1946, Juliana married Guadalupe (Lupe) Marquez in Benavides, Texas. In 1962 Juliana and Lupe moved to Oklahoma where Juliana was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her family and also liked to dance.
Mrs. Marquez was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, four sisters, one brother, two children, Lupe, Jr. and Ruben and two grandchildren.
Juliana is survived by her husband and nine children; Mary Marquez and fiance, Victor Cobos of Altus, Ramiro Marquez and wife Christy of Wichita Falls, Texas, Roel Marquez and wife Shirley of Frederick, Oklahoma, Juan Marquez and wife Madge of Altus, Oklahoma, Josie Castillo and husband Sam of Cordell, Oklahoma, Francis Hartlein and husband George of Vernon, Texas, Mario Marquez and wife Tonia of Cordell, Oklahoma, Rose Gray and husband Bill of Blair, OKlahoma and Luis Marquez and wife Maria of Altus, OKlahoma. She is also survived by one brother, Juan Garza and his wife Ester of Bowie, Texas, one sister, Maria Garza of Benavides, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
A Rosary will be held for Juliana Marquez on Tuesday, December 28, at 7:00 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Chapel and Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Chapel with interment at the Blair Cemetery. Deacon Ray Wallace with the Catholic Church will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
