June "Tiny Tot" Lee, age 64 of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at her home in Altus.
June C. Lee "Tiny Tot", was born on Friday, August 13, 1954 in Altus OK. She is the daughter of Aline Gallop and step-daughter of the late Willie A. Gallop.
She graduated from Altus High School in 1972 and attended Central State University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education. She was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
She was affiliated with the Masonic Orders serving the East in five female Orders.
June taught in the Altus Public School System for 40 years, teaching at Eugene Field Elementary and Altus Jr. High - And She Loved It!
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of The Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where she served as secretary for a short time.
June is married to Larry Darnell Lee and they have four children. She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband Larry, her loving mother Aline, her aunt Mildred Neely, two daughters Shannon Bey, Kenyatta Jackson, two sons Andre Byrd and Nikki, Corey Lee and Cynthia, two granddaughters Jacqueline Swann-Byrd, Savannah Bey, three grandsons Andre Davon Byrd, Jr., Miles Byrd, Corey Lee Jr., four sisters Patricia Washington, Valerie Robinson, Beverly Holmes-Smith and Burnell, Veronica DuBose, two brothers Willie Gallop, Jr., and Apostle Joseph Gallop and Regina. Special relatives: Ulysees Bridges III (Fudd), Christopher Byrd (Duke), Andre Valmore, Shardae Valmore, Special Friend: Elaine Hawkins, and a host of other great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family of June Lee will greet friends at Visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, May 31st, 2019 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 1st, 2019 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel in Altus with Reverend Randle Hawkins officiating.
Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
Memorial donations may be made to the Stephens Cancer Center, P.O. Box 258856, Oklahoma City, OK 73125 in memory of June C. Lee.
