Kathy died peacefully Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Integris Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City with her husband, Charles Jeffery Hansen, and parents holding her hands. Kathy was born October 9, 1965 in Omaha , Nebraska, the third child of JoAnne Leslie and James Sweeney.
Katherine was raised in an air Force Family living in ten different States or countries. She graduated from Clover Park High School in Tacoma, Washington, in 1983. She married Kenneth Rawlings on October 6, 1984; to this union was born Karalyn Anne in 1989, Kathy married Charles (Jeff) Hansen on June 12, 1995; to this union was born Grace Leslie in 1998.
Kathy worked as Bank Manager for Bank of America in both Tacoma, Washington, and Benbrook, Texas. Until the time of her death she worked as Office Manager for Wilmes Ford.
Kathy was devoted Catholic. She was very active in Pro Life, Project Gabriel .She established a Monday night Rosary group, taught in religious education, attended Adoration faithfully on Friday afternoons. She also enjoyed several world wide Catholic Mom groups attending two retreats with them. She had just left Adoration when she suffered a major heart attack. Kathy had many interests and loves including stamping, scrap booking, any and all of her daughters' activities. She had a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Rosary.
She leaves her husband, Jeff Hansen, daughters Karalyn (Kari) and Gracie; her loved step-daughters, Angle-Rose Fell and her two children Livia and Hass Kqura Hansen, all of Des Moines, Iowa; her parents; her brother, Tom Sweeney, and family of Cheyenne, Wy; her sister, Lori Cavin, and her family of RAF Croughton, England; her grandmother Leslie of Walnut, Iowa; loving family members including sisters and brother-in-laws; nieces and nephews; aunts; uncles; Karalyn's father, Ken Rawlings; his wife, Kelly and their son Kolby, of Tacoma, Washington; her Wilmes Ford family; along with many friends.
In lieu of flowers an account, for the family, has been set up at Mid First Bank in Altus.
