Kenneth D. Lemaster
Kenneth D. Lemaster, age 57, lifelong resident of Jackson County passed away Friday, June 7, 2013.
Kenneth was born October 9, 1955, in Altus, Oklahoma to Ellis and Louise (Southern) Lemaster. After graduating from Navajo High School in 1973, Kenneth attended an auctioneering school in Ft. Smith, Arkansas at the age of 18. For the next 40 years, Kenneth spent time doing what he loved, owning and operating "Lemaster Real Estate and Auction Service". Kenneth also served as sheriff of Jackson County from 1996 until 2000. On February 5, 2002 he married Christy Guynes in Seymour, Texas. Kenneth was known for many things throughout his short life; a farmer and rancher, real estate broker, apprentice appraiser and the best grandpa in the world, but most people knew him as the man who was always helping and supporting young people. For thirty-eight years Kenneth spent time working and auctioning at the Jackson County Livestock Premium Sale. In his spare time, Kenneth loved camping in Colorado and riding his four wheeler in the wonderful lands of Southwest Oklahoma.
Preceded in death by his father, Kenneth is survived by his wife, Christy Lemaster, of the home, in Altus; his mother, Louise Lemaster, of Altus; two children, Justin Miller and wife Kirbi of Altus and Jacob Miller and wife Whitney of Frederick; four grandchildren, Conner Dosher, Colter Webb, Payton Miller, Heston Miller and Jaxon Miller and a host of many, many wonderful friends.
Funeral services for Kenneth Lemaster will be at 11 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2013, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Morey and John Lingle officiating. The family asks that memorials, in lieu of flowers, be made to the Blair FFA Chapter, in honor of Kenneth Lemaster.
The family will greet friends at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home on Sunday, June 9, 2013, from 2 until 4 p.m.
