Obituary for Kenneth Vincent Martin
Kenneth V. Martin, age 78 of Martha, Oklahoma departed this life on Friday, November 28, 1997 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Kenneth was born on August 15, 1919 in Jackson County west of Martha on Horse Branch community to George W. and Emma Dolby Martin. He married Jodean McGuffin on January 16, 1942 in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Kenneth graduated from Martha High School and later received his B/\.A. degree from Southwestern Teachers College in Weatherford. He taught math, science, and coached baseball and basketball in the Martha, Southside, Sentinel, and Mangum Public Schools. He spent 33 years teaching in Jackson and Greer counties. Kenneth served his country in the Air force during WWII and he served as a deacon in the Martha First Baptist Church for many years. His lide was filled with his family, his friends, and his faith in God for 78 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters

He is survived by his wife Jodean Martin of the home; children; Kenna Gay Denson of Terrell, Texas; Danny Mac Martin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Vicky Lynn Noakes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Ricki Harned of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother Charles Martin of Texas; 5 grandchildren Lori Michelle Ekurt, Cody Clay Roberts, Kenneth Ray Belcher, Morgan Danny Martin, and Christopher Martin Harned. 3 great grandchildren Scott Noakes, Hellus(?) Texas, Stacy Noakes, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Two step-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
