Obituary for Kimberly Ann Marick
Kimberly Ann (Brown) Marick passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023, at her residence in Altus, Oklahoma at the age of fifty-nine.
On June 12, 1964, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, William Joe Brown and Barbara Jean (McBride) Brown celebrated the birth of their daughter Kimberly. Soon after Kim's birth the Brown family moved to Gotebo, Oklahoma and a few years later the family relocated to Altus, Oklahoma, where Kimberly graduated from Altus High School.
In 1997, Kimberly married the love of her life, Darin Lynn Marick. Darin served in the Air Force, and Kim was a proud Air Force wife. Together they enjoyed camping and fishing. They also treasured Christmas together and did everything to make them as magical as possible.
Kimberly has worked in several different industries. She always saw a new job as an opportunity to make new friends. She worked at Wooldridge & Associates, United Grocery, Wal-Mart, and Fat Daddy's Restaurant in Altus, Oklahoma. She cherished making new friends with her co-workers and customers.
She loved spending time and talking with her family and close friends. Kimberly always faced challenges with optimism and kindness. Through all of life's adversities, she never lost hope and was always a survivor. Kimberly was an avid pet lover. She was survived by her three fur babies; Sally Ann, Groot, and Frankie Jo whom she loved and treated as if they were her children.
To say Kimberly was a people person would be a huge understatement. She was a kind and loving person who enjoyed being around people. She loved meeting new friends and reconnecting with old friends. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for a friend or family member or even a recent acquaintance. Kimberly leaves a legacy of love and devotion to her friends and family members.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Darin Lynn Marick who passed away in 2008, her fur babies, Teenie Weenie, Pirate, and Missy.
Left to honor and cherish her memory are her father William Joe Brown and wife Dianna of Anadarko, Oklahoma, her mother Barbara Jean Brown of Clovis, New Mexico; brother, Mike Brown and wife Kim; sisters, Debbie Tobey and husband Charlie; Christine Thompson and husband Ed of Forth Worth, Texas; Stepson Jonathan Marick of Roswell, New Mexico, five nieces, Shawna Knox, Melanie Brown, Brandie Allen, Cheyenne Brown and Brynnah Thompson; two nephews, Charlie Brown and Gared Reinke, adoptive nieces, nephews, grandchildren and numerous friends.
