Obituary for Knox Lane Harris
Knox Harris, age69, of Baltimore, Maryland,passed away January 19th, 2002. Funeral Services, under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus, are set for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at the First United Methodist Church of Altus. The Rev Doug Barr will officiate and interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.

Knox was born August 15, 1932 at Friendship, Oklahoma to parents Etheridge and Jessie Knox Harris. He grew up in the Friendship community and was a graduate of Friendship High School. Knox was also a graduate of Altus Junior College and the University of Oklahoma. He the United States Navy during the 1950's and was honorably discharged in 1957. After his military service, Knox moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where he was a member of the Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Baltimore, and had many church friends. He enjoyed photography, geneology and was an avid reader. Knox was also well known in the Altus area where he attended the First United Methodist Church of Altus and spent his summer's closer to relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by numerous cousins, relatives and friends.
