Obituary for Larry E. Ray
Larry E. Ray , age 50, of Blair, Oklahoma, was born July 2, 1946, in Altus, Oklahoma, the son of Howard and Freda (Griffin) Ray. He attended Altus Public Schools, graduating from Altus High School in 1963. He attended Southwestern State College in Weatherford, where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Larry was a member of the United States Air Force Reserves for four years. Larry passed away Thursday, August 22nd, 1996 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m.,Monday, August 26, 1996, in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

On February 21, 1985 he and Elaine Barcak were united in marriage at Memphis, TX. He and his family returned to Blair in 1992 from Houston, TX where they managed the Blair Superette. The family will greet friends at the funeral home, Sunday evening, from 6:00 p.m. too 8 p.m.

Survivors include: his father, Howard Ray and his mother, Freda Ray, both of Altus, Oklahoma; his wife, Elaine Ray of the home; two children, Christopher Ray of Las Vegas, NV and Corey Ray of Blair, OK; one sister, Paula Carter and husband Bill of Blair, OK; he was also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his grandparents.
