Laura Lorene Harris, age 83, passed away Tuesday, March 26th, 1996, in Altus, Oklahoma.
Lorene was born September 20th, 1912, in Grandview, Texas. She was the daughter of David B. and Leona Mae (Turner) Aldridge. Mr. Harris had lived in the Altus area since 1958.
On October 7, 1931, Lorene and Floyd Alexander Harris were united in marriage at Walters, OK. Mr. Harris preceded her in death on March 8, 1990.
Mrs. Harris had been employed by the Shoe Box and Plaza Theater for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd; one brother and one sister.
She is survived by two children, Mattie Mae Shutt of Columbus, KS and Richard Leroy Harris of Altus; one brother, W.B. Aldridge of Bedford, TX; one sister, Alta Mae Flemming of Wichita, KS; one granddaughter, Cheryl Etheridge of Altus; and two great-grandchildren, Michelle and Melissa Etheridge, also of Altus.
