Obituary for Laveda Erleen Grantham
Laveda Erleen Grantham Laveda Erleen Grantham, age 86 passed away Sunday, October 29,2000 at Jackson Country Memorial Hospital. She was the Daughter of the late Elmer and Emma (Peters) Brock. She was born December 28, 1913 at Kirksville, Illinois. She spent most of her life in Tamms, Illinois. She graduated from Salem High School in May of 1932. She was a self employed Hairdresser for 25 years and worked as a Nurses Aide at St Davids Hospital in Austin, Texas. She moved to Altus in 1983, she was a resident of English Village Manor and former resident of the Towers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus. Survivors include 1 Daughter Karen and (Tommy) Robinson Altus, Oklahoma 1 Sister Mildred Dean Abercrombie Tamms, Illinois 2 Grandchildren Richard Kent and (Debbie) Greenwell Kelly Lee & (Harlan) Rogers 5 Great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Mary Crippen. Services are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday November 1, 2000 at the Lowell Tims Chapel With Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Internment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
