Lee Roy Moore, age 91, longtime resident of Duke, Oklahoma, died Friday, September 20th, 1996, at Colonial Manor I Nursing Home in Hollis, Oklahoma.
Funeral services were held for he and his wife, Ocie Mae Moore, at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 18th, 1996 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Ocie preceded him in death September 18, 1996. Interment was held at the Altus City Cemetery. Reverend Greg Hall, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Duke, officiated at the joint service.
Lee Roy was born July 24th, 1905, in Duke, to Lee Vi and Ora Lee (Thompson) Moore. He and Ocie Franks were married in Quanah, Texas. Mr. Moore was a member of the First Baptist Church in Duke.
Survivors include: two children, Bob Moore of Quanah, Texas and Wendell Moore of Vega, Texas; one brother, Roland Moore of Duke, Oklahoma and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; one daughter, Bernice Powell; his wife, Ocie Mae Moore, 9-18-1996; two brothers and one sister.
