Obituary for Legia Akers
Legia Akers passed away January 14th, 1979 in Altus, Oklahoma. Services were held at 2:30 pm Tuesday, January 17th at the Olustee Methodist Church. Interment followed in the Olustee Cemetery.

She was born Legia Willoughby on September 15, 1905 in Indian Territory. She was a resident of Olustee and Jackson County all of her life. She married Todd Akers and he preceded her in death in 1961. Legia was a member of the Olustee United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women.

Legia Akers is survived by daughter, Delight Stroud, Olustee, Oklahoma; son Lavon Akers, Olustee, Oklahoma; three grandchildren.
