Obituary for Lela Frances Graham
Lela Frances Graham, age 91, of Altus, Oklahoma, died Friday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday at Highland Heights United Methodist Church with Rev Marty Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Lela Mims Graham was born November 15, 1910 to Annie Florence and Robert Gaston Mims at Temple, Oklahoma. Her family later moved to Walters, Oklahoma where she attended school and later worked as a telephone operator.

She married S. E. (Sebe) Graham on October 29, 1930. They made their home in Walters until the beginning of World War II when they moved to Wichita, KS, moving to Altus in 1946.

She was a member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church. She worked for the Altus Public School System in the cafeteria for 13 years, retiring as the supervisor of the Mendel Rivers School Cafeteria at Altus Air Force Base.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters and four brothers.

She is survived by her four children, including two daughters, Sally and Lee Doughty, Sonya and Bob Reagan and two sons, Max and Rae Graham, all of Altus, Oklahoma and Ron and Claudia Graham of Rhome, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one sister, Ruth Spratt, also of Altus.
