Obituary for Lenoard H. Stein
Leonard H. Stein, age 90, a resident of Clinton since 1973, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the United Methodist Health Care Center in Clinton.

Leonard was born in Fay, Oklahoma on April 18, 1918 to Raymond and Carrie (Cline) Stein. Leonard served his country in the United States Army during WWII from 1942 to 1945 and his decorations include: the Purple Heart; American Theatre Ribbon; E.A.M.E. Theatre Ribbon; WWII Victory Ribbon; 4 Bronze Service Stars; and the Good Conduct Medal. On April 5, 1974 Leonard married Gaile Davis in Elk City and they were married for over 32 years before her death on March 19, 2007. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of the American Legion Post #41 in Clinton.

Preceded in death by his wife Gaile; his parents; one son, who died at 6 years old, Darrell Stein; three brothers, Clarence; Lawrence; and Lester; three sisters, Irene; Pansy; and Mabel; Leonard is survived by his step-daughter, Shirley Burgtorf and her husband Alan of Clinton; one brother, Clifford Stein and his wife Velva of Stillwater; other family members include: Curtis Stein and his wife Brenda of Watonga; Jerry Stein and his wife Billye of Ponca City; Barbara White and her husband Lenard of Montgomery, Texas; Rhonda Harris; Virginia Lantz; Connie Deffenbaugh; other relatives and friends.
