Leon Alexander passed away February 2, l964 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Leon was born August 22, 1908 in Celeste, Texas to Mr. and Mrs Nelson Alexander. He moved to this area in 1928. Leon worked for the State Highway Department of 17 years.
Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Morene, of the home in Altus , Oklahoma, two daughters: Mrs. Leon Qualls of Altus, Oklahoma and Mrs Cecil Austin of Lawton, Oklahoma , two sons :Bill of Germany and James R of San Diego, California, His Mother Mrs. Nelson Alexander of Rockwell, Texas, Three Brothers: Clarence Alexander of Colorado, Raymond Phillips of Rockwell, Texas ad N. J. Alexander of Dallas, Texas and Nine Sisters, Mrs. Frank Smallings, Mrs Leu Clinton and Mrs. W. C. Clinton all of Garland Texas, Mrs Oake Parnett of Clebourne, Texas, Mrs Versie Reece of Dallas, Texas, Mrs Bennie Webb of
Rockwell, Texas, Mrs Zac Patterson of Springfield, Mo., Mrs Patricia McDonald of Greenville, Texas, and Annie Mac Malcom of Greenville, Texas He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Leon Alexander are scheduled for Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Owen Gragg and Rev. Bill Daber officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
