Obituary for Leonard Dudley Robertson
Leonard Dudley Robertson, 97, of Altus, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011, at the English Village Manor Nursing Home.
Dudley, as he was known by family and friends, was born May 20, 1914, in Tarrant County, Texas, to Wesley and Lillie (Sparkman) Robertson. He graduated from Altus High School and made his home in Altus, where he was self-employed as a carpenter. Dudley loved to make music and was talented with a guitar, banjo, violin, and harmonica.
Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, J.C. Robertson and Robert (Bob) Elton Robertson, and four sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Ross, Dorothy Omega Ross, Millie Harris, and Margie Draemer, Dudley is survived by one daughter, Betty Lynn Houck of Hubbard, Texas; one son, Ernest Robertson of Oklahoma City; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and his special family for more than twenty years, the staff and residents of English Village Manor Nursing Home.

Memorial Services for Leonard Dudley Robertson will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the English Village Manor Nursing Home, 1515 Canterbury Blvd., Altus, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
