Leroy Palmer,, 58, of Altus died at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Tuesday. Grave side services are scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Born April 10, 1934 in Pennsylvania he was the son of Joseph and Edna Palmer. He married Bennie Russell April 4, 1954 in Altus. He was a truckdriver and a veteran of Korea serving in the U.S. Air Force and had at one time been assigned to Altus Air Force Base.

Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife Bennie Palmer of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; children, Leroy Palmer Jr. of Altus, Oklahoma; Michael Wayne Palmer of Altus, Oklahoma; Sarah Jean Borchardt of Altus, Oklahoma; Carol Ann Beatty of Altus, Oklahoma; Keith Ramsey Palmer of Wisc.; eitght grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
