Lessie Katherine Austin Hickman age 81, of Altus, Oklahoma died August 10, 1982 a Jackson County Memorial Hospital, in Altus.
Lessie was born January 28, 1901 in Victory, Oklahoma to Mr. and Mrs. David Austin. She was a member of the Methodist Church since 1913. Lessie was a member of the Eastern Star, Charter member of Oklahoma Historical Society, Life member of W. S. C. S. Boys Club in Amarillo, Texas and O. U. Alumni Association. She taught School in Duke, Oklahoma for two years.
Funeral services for Lessie Katherine Austin Hickman are scheduled for Thursday August 12, 1982 at 10:00 am in the First United Methodist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. Bill Moss. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Lessie is survived by her husband, Josie, of the home in Altus; two brothers W. M. Austin, Altus, Oklahoma; Knox Austin, Altus, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews, including, Mrs. Janelle Leverett and Ruth Evans both of Altus.
