Obituary for Letha Geneva Thompson
Letha (Jackie) Russell Thompson, age 69, former Altus resident, passed away Tuesday, February 3rd, 1998 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born on April 5th, 1928 near Hess, Oklahoma to William and Alpha (Swaffar) Wright. She had lived in the Altus Community for several years and was co-owner of the Apache Truck Conversion and Auto Accessories in Lawton. She married Ronald Thompson on November 4, 1967 in Altus.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Donna Sue Russell; three brothers, Carl, Troy and Curtis Wright; two sisters, Florene Frysinger and Joyce Burkhalter.

She is survived by her husband Ronald of the home in Yukon, OK; four children, Jimmy and Nancy Russell of Harrisonburg, VA, Gary and Nancy Russell of Oklahoma City, OK, Randy Russell of Mustang, OK, Dianna (Suzie) Ritchie of Wichita Falls, TX; two sisters, Lucile Beckner of Onalaska, TX and Jane Young of Clyde, TX; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday, February 7, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Sonny Tims officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
