Lettie Mae Johnson-Milligan, age 79, of Altus, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2013, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Johnson-Milligan was born in Binger, Oklahoma on July 7, 1934, to C. C. and Winnie (Richeson) Minner. Due to her father's employment, the family lived in several locations in Oklahoma, Texas and Mexico. In the early 1940's, the family moved to Chillicothe, Texas where she met Henry Milligan and they were married in 1947. The later moved to Denver, Colorado in 1953 and back to Altus in 2007, where she lived until her death. Through the years, Lettie kept many children, for different circumstances. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, crocheting, cooking, quilting, fixing hair and working crossword puzzles.

Preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Linda Ned and Annamarie Johnson, she is survived by her husband, Henry Milligan, of the home; four children, Emily Milligan of Chillicothe, Texas; Inez Jackson of Colorado City, Texas, Lettie Daniels of Denver, Colorado and Joanna Johnson of Denver, Colorado; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Lettie Mae Johnson-Milligan will be at 10 a. m., Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Green officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
