Obituary for Lewis Peter Konkler Jr.
Lewis P. Konkler, Sr., age 70, passed away Tuesday morning at the Hardeman County Hospital in Quanah, Texas after a long illness.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Eldorado First Baptist Church with the Reverend Kenneth Coleman officiating. Burial will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Mr. Konkler was born September 22, 1914 in New Mexico and moved with his family to Olustee, OK as a child. On January 24, 1938, he married Rebecca Smith in Eldorado where they lived the remainder of his life.
He is preceded in death by one son, Milton Konkler who passed away in 1965.
Survivors include: his wife Rebecca of the home; two sons, Dalton Konkler of Hollis, OK and H.T. Konkler of Tulsa; one daughter, Dorthell Pilmon of Byers, CO; five sisters, Ida Bryant of Eldorado, Dorothy Lee and Lucille Lane both of Broken Arrow, OK, Josephine Ewing of Satanta, KS and Margie Bigham of Amarillo, TX; three grandchildren, Jeremy Shane Pitman, Kristropher Lewis Konkler and Heath Todd Konkler.
