Obituary for Lillian C. Allgood
Lillian C. Allgood, age 85, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Friday, December 25th, 1998. She was born December 31, 1912 at DeLeon, TX to the late Carl and Ivah (Miller) Pittman. On July 31, 1933 she and Dr. E.J. Allgood were united in marriage in Marietta, OK. He preceded her in death May 6, 1995. She had lived in the Altus and Jackson County area for over 50 years, moving here from Lawton, OK. Mrs. Allgood worked side by side with Dr. E.J. at Allgood Clinic for many years. She was a longtime member of the DAR, the Erothelian Club and the First Baptist Church where she was an Adult Sunday School Teacher.
Survivors include: three children, Col Jerry Allgood, U.S. Army Retired and wife Bernardine of Colorado Springs, CO, Dr. Richard Allgood and wife Beth of Lawton, OK and LtCol Ron Allgood, USAF, Retired and his wife Diane of Altus, OK; one sister, Jo Weatherford of Russellville, AL; eight grandchildren, Becky Allgood Houston, Dr. Brian Allgood, Bradley Allgood, John Allgood, Ace Allgood, Sara Dew Allgood, Whitney Allgood and John R. Allgood, II; four great-grandchildren, Erin Houston, Taylor Houston, Cody Allgood and Jordan Allgood.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. E.J. Allgood; three brothers and one sister.
Private services are scheduled for Monday, January 4, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Sonny Tims officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery.
