Lillie Mae Hestand, age 84, died Saturday, July 4th, 1992 at her home in Kennedale, Texas.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Altus City Cemetery. Arrangements are with Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
She was born December 22nd, 1907 in Atoka, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Walter and Lillie Vail. She married Vergal Hestand October 31, 1926 in Jackson County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include: six children, Kay Smith of Kennedale, TX, Jenny Fay Hestand of Antioch, TN, Buster Ray Hestand of Ft. Worth, TX, Billy Dean Hestand of Kilgore, TX, Donnie Wayne Hestand of Bay City, TX and Ima Jean Harris of Rialto, CA; two brothers, Walter Allen Vail of California and Odell Vail of Council, Idaho; a sister, Opal Caudill of Cucamonga, CA; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Walter and Lillie Vail; her husband, Vergal Hestand (1959); a son, V.L. Hestand (1927).
