Obituary for Linda Villarreal

Linda Marie (Reinhardt) Villarreal, age 34, a longtime resident of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022 in Texas.

Linda was born in Oklahoma City on August 2, 1988 to her parents Carl Frederick Reinhardt III and Maria Albertina (De Sousa) Reinhardt. Linda was raised in Altus and she was a proud graduate of the Class of 2007 from Altus High School. After high school, she went on to further her education at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus. Linda loved to travel and was able to visit Portugal to visit her mother's family. Linda loved her Portuguese heritage with a passion. Linda was a member of Strong Tower Ministries in Altus with her husband.

On October 14, 2017 Linda married Joel Villarreal on the Altus City Golf Course and they have enjoyed their many adventures as husband and wife. Linda worked for Herring Bank in Altus for twelve years and was most recently employed as a Mortgage Loan Officer with Great Plains Bank. Linda served her community through volunteer work and outreach programs, as well as being a Rotarian with the Altus Rotary Group. Linda loved her family very much and she always treasured spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.


Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred and Linda Reinhardt and Jose and Fatima Sousa. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Joel Villarreal, of Altus; her parents, Rick and Maria Reinhardt, of Altus; her brother, Ricky Reinhardt IV, of Elmendorf AFB in Alaska; and her sisters and their husbands, Diana and Jeff Owenby; Angela and Ethan Cryer, of Altus.

She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, David and Carla Thomas, of Altus, Oklahoma; John and Lisa McGhee, of Conyers, Georgia; Jorge Nicolau Sousa and Fatima Costa of Azores, Portugal. Nieces and nephews; Christopher, Liam, Ainsley, and Harvey Cryer; Keagan, Kennedi, Knix, and Kasyn, as she dearly loved being their aunt as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to the Linda Villarreal Benevolent Account at Great Plains Bank in Mangum, Oklahoma in memory of Linda Villarreal.


The family of Linda Villarreal will greet friends at Visitation on Wednesday evening, September 7, 2022 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus, Oklahoma.


Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Lowell-Tims funeral Chapel in Altus with interment following at the Altus City Cemetery.
