Lindel Ray Cornett, 65, of Hollis, Oklahoma passed away Friday April 28, 2017 at the University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas as a result of an auto accident.
Lindel was born August 26, 1951 to A.H. and Wilma Jean (Moore) Cornett. He married Brenda Hays on November 20, 1973 in Lamesa, Texas. Lindel also served in the U. S. Army. He was currently employed by Sunoco of Childress, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, A.H. Cornett and son-in-law Kent Cofield. Lindel is survived by his wife, Brenda of the home; two daughters, Shara Beavers and her husband Micah of Altus, Oklahoma and Kylie Cofield of Amarillo, Texas; four grandchildren, Preslie and Tyler Beavers of Altus, Oklahoma, Leighton and Bryson Cofield of Amarillo, Texas; his mother, Wilma Jean Cornett of Duke, Oklahoma; two brothers, Monte Cornett and wife Brenda of Shamrock, Texas and Craig Cornett and wife Dana of Cordell, Oklahoma; one sister, Charlotte Springfield and husband Randall of Hollis, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Cremation Services have been entrusted to the care of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis, Oklahoma.
