Lois Elizabeth Sheid, 80, passed away Monday, Juy 24, 1995, in Oklahoma City following a lengthy illness. Lois was born on September 15, 1914, in Direct, Texas. She married James Oliver Sheid and he preceded her in death in 1982. They moved to Altus and resided here for 60 years. She moved to Oklahoma City a little over a year ago to be near her daughter, Vonnie. While in Altus, she owned and operated The Cottage Beauty Shop for over 40 years.
Lois was a faithful member of the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ and will be missed by many.
Mrs Sheild was preceded in death by her parents; husband J.O. Sheid; and one grandson, David Groves.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Vonnie and Glenn Casey of Oklahoma City and Revenna and David L. Groves of Houston, Texas; one brother Bill Hindman of Childress, texas; four grandchildren, Ricky Lynn Risinger, Karl Wesley Risinger, Lisa Schaf and Liz Ledgerwood; and by 12 great-grandchildren.
