Obituary for Lola Mae Buck
Lola Mae Buck, age 86 passed away Tuesday, May 4, 1999 at her home in Altus. She was born January 30, 1913 in Okra, Texas to Martin Edward and Lena Pearl (Fisher)McCullough. On May 15, 1930 in Elmer, Oklahoma Lola Mae and Joseph Samuel Buck wire untied in marriage. She lived in the Jackson County area from 1926 to 1948. Before moving to Ft. Worth, Texas where she lived until 1993. While living in Ft. Worth Lola Mae was a member of the Women's Missonary at South Ft. Worth Baptist Church. She was a church hostess and taught Sunday School for Many years. Lola Mae moved back to Altus, July 3, 1993 to be close to her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus.



survivors include; husband Joe S. Buck of the home, two sons, Eddie Joe Buck and wife, Marilyn of Altus, Oklahoma, Billie Wayne Buck of New Orleans, Louisiana, one brother, Clarence McCullough of Eastland, Texas, three sisters, Nora McWorter and Lora Odell both of Eastland, Texas, Opal Harty of Houston, Texas, six grandchildren, Mary Myers, Tina Cossey, Gregg Buck, Brett Buck, Teri Philbrick, Toye Mitchell, and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; Ed and Pearl McCullough, one daughter, Bettie Ann Buck, one brother, Estes McCullough.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 6, 1999 at 2:00pm in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Family will have visitation Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Jackson County Memorial Hospital Hospice.
