Lola Elizabeth Portwood, age 87, passed away Thursday, April 18th, 1996, in a local nursing home. Lola was born December 13th, 1908, in Vacaville, Texas. She was the daughter of Martin and Esther (West) Hall.
On November 19, 1927, Lola and William H. "Bill" Portwood were united in marriage. Together they lived in the Warren and Headrick communities all their lives. Mrs. Portwood was a housewife and a member of the Warren Baptist Church.
Mrs. Portwood was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Bill; one son, Billy Don Portwood; three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by: one daughter, Rovena Miller of Norman, OK; two brothers, Dan Hall of Sacramento, CA and Earl Hall of Mt. Vernon, MO; two sisters, Odella Dennis of Altus and Owen Shirley of Midwest City, OK; three granddaughters, Jana and Ron Morgan of Houston, TX, Jane and Chuck Kennedy of Norman, OK and Deanna and Dennis Edge of Katy, TX; six great-grandchildren, Kim and Byron Brown of Colby, KS, Kevin Morgan of Arkadelphia, AR, and Brian, David, Michael and Carolyn Edge of Katy, TX and by one great-great-grandson, William Brown of Colby, KS.
