Obituary for Loretta Elizabeth Chandler
Loretta Elizabeth Chandler, age 58 of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, January 23, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was born October 7, 1944 in Altus, Oklahoma to William and Norma Bell (Smith) Fields. Loretta had lived in the Altus community all of her life. She worked as a nurse's aide and home provider for many years before she retired.
Loretta enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was an active member of the Deliverance Temple in Altus and spent time with her friends at Linclon Alumni.
She is survived by six children, Alvin Chandler of Dallas, Texas, Antoinette Lawrence of Altus, Oklahoma, Joel Fields of Jacksonville, Flordia, Rachel Lindsey and her husband, Jeff, of Altus, Oklahoma, Wesley Chandler and his wife, Katherine of Boley, Oklahoma, James Chandler an his wife, Nicole, of Lawton, Oklahoma; one sister, Flora Mae Fields and five brothers, Nathaniel Jenkins, Willie Fields; twenty grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and a longtime special friend, Charles Hill of Altus, Oklahoma. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and many friends, including Maltie Fields, Joyce Fulbright and Warrenlene Morgan.
Loretta was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Leotis Fields and Bob Fields.
Funeral services for Lorettta Chandler are scheduled Thursday, January 30, 2003 at 11:00 am in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Elder DeWayne Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
