Obituary for Ludie C. Burgan
Ludie C. Burgan was born November 3rd, 1915 at Crowell, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Jess and Myrtle B. (Warren) Hampton. She died November 9th, 1994 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was a longtime resident of Jackson County, having resided here since 1919, after moving here from Texas. She married L. L. Burgan October 7, 1933 at Altus, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death in November 1989. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, and had previously worked at the Wilson Company and Altus Laundry.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Sonny Tims and Rev. Boyd Whitehead officiating. Interment will be in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: a daughter, Loretta Brown and husband Eddie of Warren, OK; one brother, George Wade Hampton of Altus, OK; one sister, Katie Massey and husband Ralph of Altus, OK; one grandchild, Scott L. Brown and wife Tracy; three great-grandchildren, Sunny, Cody and Chris; three step-great-granchildren, Joshua, Robin and Joanna.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Leonard Luther Burgan, 1989; son, Jessie (Butch) Mitchell Burgan, 1974; a sister, Pauline Anderson, 1974.
