Obituary for Lynda Marlene Cook
Lynda Marlene Cook, 67, resident of Mangum, Oklahoma passed away on January 14, 2022 in Hays, Kansas. Lynda was born on April 13, 1954 to Clinton and Verna (Wadley) Nesmith in Mangum, Oklahoma. She graduated from Mangum High School in 1972, after high school she attended Oklahoma State University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University before returning home to Mangum to work for the County Clerk’s office. Lynda had a strong worth ethic; she was a devoted owner and operator of L&M Quick Lube in Mangum for twenty-two years. She was a proud member of Red River Cowboy Church. She enjoyed playing card games, and you could always find her putting a puzzle together. She enjoyed taking trips to the casino with her friends. What meant the most to Lynda was her family and friends, she cherished every moment she could spend with them.
Lynda is preceded in death by her parents; Sons, Joseph David Cook and Keith Allen Cook.
