Mabel Edith Lightner age 83 of Altus, Oklahoma, died January 2, 1966 at Taylors Nursing Home. She was born March 4 1882 in Mullberry Missouri. She married Gus Lightner November 1902 in Lawton, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death December 1935. She had been a resident of Jackson County since 1931. Mabel was a member of the Eastern Star.

Mabel Edith Lightner is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Fanchor La Bay, Altus, Oklahoma; Mrs. Dorothy Wood, Altus, Oklahoma; two sons Donald, Ritzville Washington; Carl, Cleveland, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two sisters, Zetta Anderson, Auburn, California; Mrs. Laura Mae Johnson, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
