Obituary for Margie Marie Heatly
Margie Marie Heatly was born March 5th, 1923 at Reed, OK. She died November 1, 1996 in Altus, Oklahoma. She married Robert Wharton Heatly April 9, 1939 at Reed, OK. She was a longtime resident of Altus and Jackson County having lived here since 1947. Marge had served at the First Baptist Church of Altus from 1959 to May 27, 1990 when she retired after 31 years of service. She served as Secretary for Dr. Gene Garrison and Rev. Keith Wiginton. After her retirement from the First Baptist Church, she was associated with the accounting firm of Mrs. Donna Self. Marge was a volunteer at the Sunset Elementary School. Marge had served in various capacities during her tenure at the First Baptist Church and after her retirement.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 1996 at the First Baptist Church of Altus with Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Interment will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Altus in honor of Margie Marie Heatly.

Survivors include: her husband, Robert Wharton Heatly of the home; one son, Bob E. Heatly and wife Linda J. of Stillwater, OK; one granddaughter, Kimberly Jean Bunch of Lincoln, NE.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one sister; one brother.
