Obituary for Maria Antonia Rivera
Maria Antonia Rivera, 57, of Mangum, Oklahoma passed away on January 8, 2020 in Oklahoma City. Maria was born on June 12, 1962 to Agapito Ramirez and Dora (Serna) Ramirez in Alice, Texas. Maria was raised in Olney, Texas as well as Mangum, Oklahoma. She married Joseph Rivera Jr. on June 17, 1982 in Mangum, Oklahoma. Maria worked as the Mangum Meal Site manager for fifteen years, before becoming a caregiver to citizens around Mangum. She was an active member of Living Water United Pentecostal Church in Mangum and loved spending time with her family. Maria was a woman with a big heart that was filled with love for everyone and it showed by the way she took care of everyone around her. She had a servant’s heart and attitude, and never met a stranger. She always found the good in everyone, was selfless, and put everyone first even up to the last day. She was a fighter until the very end, and it was the fight that was in her heart that helped her to overcome so many of her fears in the last few months of her time here on earth. She wasn't perfect, but she was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Rivera; Son's, Michael Rivera and wife Adriene Rivera, Jacob Lopez, Nicholas Lopez, and Giselle Rodriguez; Daughter’s, Melissa Perez and husband Joseph Perez, and Patricia Rivera; Step-Son Jose Fox; Brother’s Eleazar Ramirez, Jesus Ramirez and wife Mary; Sister’s Wanda Ramirez, Graciela Ramirez, Christina Ramirez, Lydea Granados and husband Leroy; Grandchildren, Cynthia Sanchez, Alijandro Rivera, Karmela Perez, Josiah Perez, Izabella Rivera, Angelo Rivera, Angelie Fox and Natalie Fox; Great Grandson, Manny Lopez Monroe; As well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
