Obituary for Marie Stroud
Marie Stroud of Manhattan Beach, California, passed away September 13, 1992 at her daughter's home in Torrance, California.

Funeral services in California will be Wednesday, September 16, 1992 at the White & Day Colonial Chapel in Redondo Beach. Local services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 1992 at the First United Methodist Church in Altus with the Rev. Ken Pate officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home. The body will lie in state from Friday morning until service time Saturday.

She was born November 13, 1904 in Texas and lived in Manhattan Beach for 35 years. She was raised in the Brinkman/Mangum community and taught school in the Martha School District from 1948 through 1949 and in Altus at the old Central Jr. High from 1949 through 1957. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Altus, Oklahoma.

Survivors include: a daughter, Mary Gentry of Torrance, CA; a brother, Jack Steele of Texas; two sisters, Betty Rausch of Florida and Bobbye Maynard ofTexas; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, George Stroud - 1977.
