Obituary for Marsha Elaine Kelly
Marsha Kelly was born May 18,1952 in Altus, Oklahoma. she was the daughter of Kathryn (Easley) Freeman and the late Oliver Perry Freeman. She died March 27, 2003 in Altus, Oklahoma.
Marsha married Joe Kelly, May 22, 1976 in Eldorado, Oklahoma.
Marsha graduated from Eldorado High School and completed her college degree from Southwestern State University. She began working at WOSC in 1975 and was the Personnel Director for the college. She was a member of the Oklahoma College and University Personnel Association, Oklahoma Association for Affirmative Action and was the Secretary of this organization from 1999-2000, and the 1996 Business Associate of the Year Award Recipient form the American Business Womens Association. She was a member fo the Church of the Nazarene, where she served as church Pianist, member of the Church Board, and was very active with the youth of the Church. She was an accomplished pianist, and her family and friends were the most important factors of her life.
Survivors include husband Joe Kelly of Altus, Oklahoma; mother Kathryn Freeman of Altus, Oklahoma; mother-in-law Oleata Kelly of Greenville, Texas; four children, Chad Kelly of Altus, Oklahoma, Jonathan Kelly of Altus, Oklahoma, Lesli Kelly of Altus, Oklahoma and Jerri Kay Kelly of San Diego, California; one brother Carroll Ray Freeman and Kathy of Houston, Texas, one sister-in-law Betty Carol Doty of Fayetteville, Arkansas. A host of other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
Services for Marsha Kelly are scheduled for 2 pm Saturday, March 29, 2003 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home from 6:30-8:00 pm.
Memorials in honor of Marsha Kelly may be made to the Giedon Bible Association, Nazarene Youth Fund or to the charity of your choice.
