Obituary for Marvin Oliver Mefford
Marvin Oliver Mefford, age 72, a long time resident of the Eldorado community, passed away Thursday at the Harmon County Hospital in Hollis, OK. Services have been set for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 23rd 1986 at the Corinth Baptist Church in Eldorado, with The Reverend Henry McBrayer officiating. Burial will be in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born in Grandfield, OK on November 8th, 1913, the son of E. H. and Beatrice Mefford. They moved to Eldorado in 1937. He married Maebell Coke December 21, 1940 in Gould, OK. He was a Veteran of WWII and he farmed in the Eldorado Community.
Survivors include: his wife, Maebell Mefford of the home; two sons, Harlan Mefford of Eldorado, OK and Randy Mefford of Gould, OK; one daughter, Marsha Robinson of Gould, OK; one brother, Glenn Mefford of Eldorado, OK; two sisters, Dorothy Helms of Eldorado, OK and Goldie McElroy of Cleveland, TX; six grandchildren.
