Marvin Oscar Bennight, 83, passed away Friday, April 28, 1995, in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Marvin was born October 30, 1911, in Headrick, Okalahoma, the son of Joseph and Eula "Myers" Bennight. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and had attended the Friendship School.
On December 31, 1934, he and Ida Josephine Hals were united in marriage at Altus, Oklahoma. Marvin was a retired farmer and attended the Church of God Church.
Mr. Bennight was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mike Bennight in 1970; and one brother, Bobby Bennight.
He is survived by his wife, Ida of the home; six sons and daughter-in-laws, Joe and Shirley Bennight of Grand Prairie, Texas; Boyd and Barbara Bennight of Frederick, Oklahoma; Oscar and Ina Bennight of Davis, Oklahoma; Marvin and Carolyn Bennight of Cordell, /Texas; Mark and Annette Bennight of Altus, Oklahoma; and James and Rhonda Bennight of Washington, Mo; six daughter and four son-in-laws, Melvena Huddleston, Pat and Harry Edwards, Darlene and Jimmy Wilson all of Altus, Oklahoma; Gladys and Jerry Hand of Blair, Oklahoma; Euletta Harrell of Holland, Mi.' and Beverly and Robert Tabb of Laport, Texas; one brother, Levi Bennight of Kingston, Oklahoma; one sister Edna Sambiner of California forty grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
