Marvin Paul Morris, 84, passed away Saturday, September 23, 1995 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Paul was born November 9, 1910 at Howe, Texas, the son of V.T. and Ethel "Ward" Morris. He was a long time resident of Jackson County.
On May 8, 1940, Paul and Maxine Pottorff were united in marriage at Altus Oklahoma. He was a retired Soil Conservation Contractor. Paul was a member of the Methodist Church and the Altus Masonic Lodge..
Paul loved all sports, especially the ones in which his children participated. He never missed a game they played in. Paul was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be deeply missed by many.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gary V. and W.A. Morris.
He is survived by Maxine, his wife of 55 years; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Marvin Morris of Headrick, Oklahoma; Garold Morris of Big Lake, Arkansas and Elmer V. and Millie Morris of Altus, Oklahoma; two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Ted Knox of Headrick, Oklahoma; Reta and David Roden of Madison, Alabama; four brothers, Byron Morris and Edwin Morris of Oklahoma City, Harold "Ben" Morris of Altus, and Bill Morris of Pearl, La., four sisters, Okla Smith of Noble, Oklahoma; Margarete Voyles and Ellen Rae Cosgrove, both of Oklahoma City, and Lorena Cornish of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
