Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Paugh
Mary Elizabeth Paugh, age 74, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2004 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was born May 21, 1930 in Panama City, Florida to Willis Hugh Calvert and Anna (Shalestik) Calvert.
On May 31`, 1953 in Iselin, New Jersey, Mary and Rex Paugh were united in marriage. He preceded her in death August 31, 1998.
Mary owned and operated an antique store in Altus for many years. When she wasn't busy in the store, Mary enjoyed painting, going to swap meets and flea markets and traveling to Las Vegas. Mary also enjoyed being involved with city politics. She was a longtime member of the Altus Arts Club.
Mary is survived by three sons, Wes Paugh and wife Susan of Duncan, Oklahoma; Kevin (K.D.) Paugh and wife Carolyn of Sturgis, South Dakota; Gary Paugh and his wife Keri of Altus, Oklahoma; three brothers, Willie Calvert, Jr., of Tennessee, Donald Calvert and wife Margie of New Jersey, Robert James Calvert of Avenal, New Jersey; one sister, Willa Ann Gurbach and husband Marty, of Woodbridge, New Jersey; eight grandchildren, Sally Maple, Kevin Paugh, Jr., Leon Paugh, Tere Paugh, Bo Paugh, Daniel Paugh, Sara Paugh, Jakob Paugh. She is also survived by her special friends Irene Wilson and and Norman Fair, both of Altus, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Celebration of Life Service for Mary Paugh is scheduled for Saturday, October 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
