GOODIN
Mary Jane Goodin, age 70, of Eldorado, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, in Lawton.
Mrs. Goodin was born in Quanah, Texas on September 14, 1943, to E.D. and Helen Othelia (Kyle) Harris. Mary"s mother died when she was thirteen and she spent many hours helping her father care for the home and her siblings. After attending Quanah School, she married the love of her life, Henry Lee Goodin, in Crowell, Texas on March 17, 1963. They spent the next fifty-one wonderful years together before her death. After their marriage they established their first home in Scott City, Kansas. Shortly thereafter, Henry began a five year tour with the United States Army that took them to Ft. Carson, Colorado, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas and finally to Ft. Sill, Oklahoma where he was discharged in 1968. Moving to Ft. Worth, Texas, where Henry took a job, they lived until Henry retired in 1995 and moved home, to Eldorado. A homemaker most of her life, Mary supported Henry throughout his years as a soldier, with his job in Ft. Worth and many, many jobs in Eldorado where he volunteered for almost anything needing done. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed making crafts, sewing and cooking.
Preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Emmalene Harris and one son, Michael Goodin, she is survived by her husband, Henry, of the home; two children, Eddie Goodin of Ft.
